Vehicle Description

Welcome to the sale of my very special 1960 Jaguar Mark II 3.8 Manual. UK car first sold on 3rd November 1960, this is a numbers matching car with the addition of overdrive on 4th gear. I bought this car for my collection in 2021, deciding to thin out the collection a bit I have reluctantly put my beautiful MKII up for sale. Finished in the striking colour combination of Sherwood Green with Green Suede leather interior as it left the factory. Sometime in it's life it acquired the familiar "Coombs" rear arches and Louvered bonnet. During my ownership I had the wire wheels finished in Black to give a more Classic "Goodwood" Race appearance, however I have kept the original chrome wires if someone should prefer. Mechanically the car is superb with the addition of Electronic ignition, oil pressure as can be seen in the photos is exactly where it should be with the engine at normal operating temperature. The body and paint on the car is superb, no paintwork has been done since I acquired the car and there are no nasty bubbles, dents or scratches to the paintwork. The chrome is all in excellent condition, the sides of the car are smooth with no underlying ripples etc. The interior leather is in superb, original condition, slightly worn in to exactly how it should be, I have re connolised the seats with a water based interior dye therefore retaining the softness and suppleness of the leather, the original headlining is great condition, the wood on the dashboard, rear tables and around the door apertures is also in great condition. I feel that the carpets must have been replaced at some point as they look excellent in their original Suede colour. Overall I think this is a superb car that would grace anyone's collection having not been restored but certainly a very well looked after original car. I have an extensive history file complete with invoices, old MoT's the original Jaguar lubrication chart and owners maintenance and operating handbook along with the original complete tool kit. Part exchange for a modern or classic car possible.
